ST LUKE'S BELIEFS |
| |
St. Luke Lutheran Church is a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America. As such, we espouse these beliefs: |
| |
| |
We believe in the Triune God; Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. |

| |
Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior. He is the only begotten Son of God. He is the Word of God incarnate. Through Him, everything was made. His life, death, and resurrection is the means by which the grace of God is extended to all people. In him, we are made new and given eternal life. He empowers us to live joyful and victorious lives through the power of the Holy Spirit. |

We accept the scriptures of the Old and New Testaments as the inspired Word of God. We confess the good news of the Gospel as recorded in the Holy Scriptures and professed in the ecumenical creeds. |

The Church is a people created by God in Christ. We are empowered by the Holy Spirit to live as children of God, bearing witness of his love and redemptive power to all people. The Church is commissioned by Christ to spread the Gospel, help those in need, and worship God in Word, sacrament, service and daily living. We believe in the universal priesthood of all true believers. The Church, in faithfulness to the Gospel, is committed to be an inclusive church in the midst of division in society. |
